Made to Order — and Why That Matters
Most products you buy online already exist before you order them. They were made in anticipation of demand, stored in warehouses, and shipped when you clicked. If they don't sell, they are discounted, destroyed, and often landfilled.
We do it differently.
We only make small amounts of our products if they aren't already ordered , which is why our inventory is often very low. We try very hard to only make what we know is headed for a loving home - with just a little left over. That way almost every textile is woven and dyed in response to a real person wanting it. That means no overproduction, no waste and no surplus sitting in a warehouse somewhere.
We place our orders with our weavers and dyers in India four times a year. This rhythm matters. It gives Shakeel and his family consistent, predictable work throughout the year - not an unpredictable trickle of single orders. It also means every collection is shipped together, reducing the environmental cost of freight.
The 6–8 week wait is real. But so is what you receive at the end of it — something made for you, by hand, by artisans using herbs and plants.
